Very nice game!

but this doesnt play on spectrtum zx tho?

you're right, the art style is merely inspired by the limitations of the ZX. i have removed this tag to not be misleading in the future.

Wow! Thank you for this! It's like a missing piece. I needed this. Pretty pixel art, stunning effects, evolution of enemies, powerful bonuses, chaotic, endless and simple but addictive gameplay. Oh, yes, and beautiful sounds. They even not perfect -- they are YUMMY AS HELL! And this white noise ambient... Oh my god...

Thank you for your work. :)

If you release a extended edition on Android, I'll of course buy it!

THANKS FOR THIS

Great game. My favorite of the SHMUP randomly generated genre (that includes all the top down roguelikes). And possibly the best sound design I've ever heard, honestly.

thank you. this means so much to me. i'm really glad it clicked with you.

I've been looking for a game in this genre that is this good and I've finally found it.

Cool game, add a combo counter in the two versions, in itch io and steam to make it even coolness...

Super Gameplay. And very clever way to manage pixel/ratio screen !! Very nice work @maybell !!

thank you, i'm so happy you noticed. sharp, crispy pixel art is beautiful.

Everything about this is great. The Robotron-esque gameplay, the art, the sound design, everything overflows. I do wish lives were more common and the game was more difficult - part of robotrons strengths was being forced to pick up friends for health.

I aspire to make games that look this good.

Really cool game. Plays really well on an android handheld emulator console! Nice little game to pick up and play in small bursts.

EPIC GAME

Played this on Asus ROG Ally handheld. Looks and sounds great. Loving the smooth blasty chaos. Great game for Ally, steam deck etc

😊👍

Great, really great. But it’s so laggy on my Android device. Level 1 starts out laggy and as enemies are cleared the game runs much smoother. Maybe some optimisation would help? Until then I’ll see if I can find a way to play the Windows version on my Mac. Keep up the good work!

just sprinkle some optimization on it, nbd

(-1)

I agree, nbd, you just have to care. Here’s how I did it with my latest game: https://blog.gingerbeardman.com/2023/11/21/yoyozo-how-i-made-a-playdate-game-in-39kb/

hey, thanks for making me aware of this issue. i just uploaded 1.1.3 which should hopefully have a lot of optimizations.

what kind of device are you using? is the performance improved?

This new is much better, quite playable. There is still some slowdown at the beginning of a level (how much depends on how many enemies there are) that eases off as the level becomes more empty, but it’s much less than before. So, thanks!

ps: I’m using Android 11 running on a Nexus 7 (2013). Old, I know, but still very capable and a great book reading tablet.

Very nice game. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 03:05:29. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

Sideloading is now possible on the iiRcade. Any chance you could make the existing iiRcade version of Satryn available for download (or even for purchase) here, too? Cowcat recently did likewise with Brok the Investigator on their itchio page, and the sideloading iiRcade community is trying to compile a list of other games that iiRcade owners can buy and sideload now (while still supporting developers) now that iiRcade is out of business. Thanks!

hey, i have uploaded the iircade version of satryn here. it is completely free. sideload away! :)

That's great. I'll be sure to let the community know. Thanks!

The iiRcade is community is excited that you've made this available to sideload. Thanks! A lot of us are big fans of this game.

We have a .zip file with the iiRcade loading screen artwork and controls pre-configured for iiRcade. Is there some way we can provide it to you? That way, you could post the iiRcade version as a .zip file with artwork and controls ready to go.

you can email me at maybell(dot)soft(at)gmail(dot)com. :) or dm me on our discord. thank you!
